…120 patients benefit from cash donation
The 1446AH/2024 Maulud, a yearly event that Marks and celebrate the Birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW, PUH) is well observed in Mubi, Northern Senatorial District of Adamawa State.
The chairman of the Mubi zone Maulud Committee, Hon Barrister Muhammed Sani Shehu said this year’s celebration is a week long full of many activities cutting across the various Local Government areas of the zone.
visited the prison with his committee members led by prominent members of the likes of Prof Yakubu Yunus Mubi and Dr Sheckh Murtala AbuFathi and visited Mubi correctional center, Mubi General Hospital and Maiha road grave Yard.
He revealed that the Committee in Mubi visited correctional center, secured the release of 40 inmates whose offences are minor by paying their fines and donated bags of assorted foodstuffs to take care of them while in prison.
He said the committee while at the Mubi General Hospital and Lokuwa Maternity Clinic gave cash donation 120 patients of N5,000 each with drugs to complement their medical bills.
“The committee on Tuesday have also visited Maiha Road Grave Yard and donated mats, shovels, diggers and woods.” He said
He said the 2024 Maulud celebration is unique in the Sense that thousand of people are waiting for the procession day.
Hon Sani while inviting the general public for the Grand Rally and Procession schedule to hold on Saturday, 21st from Mubi City gate to the Emirs Palace where prayers for national unity and peace will be offered for the nation.
