The letter of petition signed by the Association’s Executive Director, Barr Sadau Garba and copied to the Governor of  Zamfara State and the National Security Adviser (NSA) Office Abuja said they shall commence legal action against the IGP if he fail, neglect or refuse to discharge his duties in the interest of the Nation, Nigeria knowing the the fact that his whole duties is to the entire people of the country.

According to them, they are appalled by the shocking revelation of the Executive Governor of Zamfara State aired on TVC over alleged criminal conspiracy in banditry against the minister of the State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.

The letter stated that Governor Dauda who is also the Chief Security Officer of the State, in a weighty, heart breaking and breath taking allegation openly accused the current Minister of the State for Defence of being an accomplice in the never ending activities of bandits in the country.

“No doubt, the issue of banditry in Nigeria particularly in the North has reached sorrowful and pathetic situation where members of the armed forces and helpless civilians have lost their lives and property. The situation has further deteriorated.Since the return of the civilian rule in 1999 till date, only the Almighty God knows the amount of money spent and mismanaged in the fight against the bandits without achieving the desired result.

“We don’t want to believe that the present military operation under top brass military personnel and under the supervision of the Minister of State for Defence who neither had nor acquired any previous military training in his life, is aimed at destroying human evidence that would supply credible information to the Government regarding their sponsors.

“The same scenario played out in Maiduguri regarding the Boko Haram crises. The Minister of Defence never had any military training either. Not even scout brigade training. Our dear President and father of the Nation, the Jagaban and Asiwaju, who is here, not to make money but to serve, cannot be a party to any plan to destroy the Country.” The letter read
