“Our goal to achieve “Better Education for All.” says Minister of Education

last week, he convened many meetings with key stakeholders in the education sector, including FME directors, private sector representatives, development partners, commissioners of education, and representatives from Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum, @NGFSecretariat

During this high-level meeting, they reviewed the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI) for Renewed Hope, which revolves around priority areas such as: #TVET, #STEMM and Out of School Children & Almajari.

The meeting prioritizing many areas, focusing on equitable access to basic education, providing inclusive quality education and improved learning outcomes, and strengthening governance and management.

The Minister and stakeholders are planning the transition of the country from a resource-based economy to a knowledge- and skills-based economy. Through #NESRI, to reduce the number of out-of-school children, decrease learning poverty, and enhance skills and human capital for the labor market.

He stated: ‘I would like to extend my thanks to all our stakeholders for attending today’s session. More technical sessions are planned in the coming weeks, as we look to collaboratively develop and finalize the NESRI.

He concluded “I invite everyone to join us on this journey of renewed hope. The Nigeria we envision is within our reach.
