FG dismisses fears of leadership vacuum amid President, VP’s absence

The Nigerian Presidency has assured citizens that there will be no leadership vacuum, even as both President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima are out of the country on separate engagements.

In a statement released on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency emphasized that the nation’s governance remains fully functional, with key decisions and directives being made remotely.

President Tinubu is currently on a two-week working vacation, having left Nigeria on October 3. On the same day, Vice President Shettima departed for a two-day official visit to Sweden, representing Nigeria in international discussions.
